Enfield Peanut Festival is Sept 30 & Oct 1, Seeking Vendors

The Town of Enfield celebrates the peanut with a community festival the first Saturday of every October.  The 2016 Enfield Peanut Festival is September 30, 2016, 6-9pm, with a block party, followed on October 1, 2016, noon-8pm, with vendors and entertainment.

Arts and craft, food, and other vendors need to complete a festival Vendor application. The completed application and $25 vendor fee, should be submitted to the town prior to deadlines.

Food Vendors, the deadline is September 8, 2016. Food Vendors must submit a Temporary Food Service Permit Application to the Health Department at least 15 days before the Peanut Festival. Final changes to menus must be approved within three days of the Peanut Festival. Additional Food Vendor forms and information are available from the town’s web page.

The Town of Enfield NC is in Halifax County. The town was at one time home to the largest raw peanut market in the world.

Note that the Enfield Peanut Festival rain dates are October 7-8, 2016.
