The movie review this issue is for Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted. My husband and I took two pre-teens with us to review this children’s film.
This movie includes the recurring major characters — Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, and Melman the Giraffe — voiced by the same actors as in the previous two films.
Certainly the movie has some action, including chases through several cities. Part of the plot involves a circus, and the circus performance scenes are colorful and character-filled, bearing some similarity to music videos.
While Madagascar 3 seemed to us to have fewer funny moments than the original Madagascar film, it gave us some laughs. A few new characters — a sea lion and a bear — add to the comedy. It is worth mentioning that the small children in the audience seemed to enjoy it.
