Lotus School for Excellence (LSE), a K-12 Charter Public School is hosting a community and family-friendly Fall Festival on October 29, 2016, to celebrate the new season and its 10-year anniversary. Each participant is invited to also dress in a costume for a costume contest with the winner receiving a free bike.

The festival will be held at 10am at Lotus School for Excellence located at 11001 East Alameda Avenue in Aurora, Colorado. Tickets will be sold at the festival for twenty-five cents each.

“We are very excited for the Fall Festival and to celebrate our 10 years of excellence,” says Emily Thomsen, Director of Communication of Lotus School for Excellence. “It is a priority to not only provide an excellent education but also partner with the community for family-friendly fun like our Fall Festival. We also host a community Thanksgiving dinner and a spring potluck to celebrate the diversity in our community every year. It is an honor to be in the Aurora community for the past 10 years.”

Founded in 2006, Lotus School’s mission was to equip students interested in science, technology, engineering and math (S.T.E.M.) for professional fields after graduation. Now in the 11th year, LSE’s focus is on S.T.E.A.M. education and college-readiness that proudly supports 100% college acceptance for graduates. LSE has grown from 140 students to now over 875 students.

“Lotus School for Excellence has come a long way since we began in 2006. We would not be here without our supportive community, our talented educators and the students that make each day better than the last,” says Eray Idil, Executive Director of Lotus School for Excellence. “It is humbling to be celebrating this milestone and to know how far we have come as a school. I look forward to our continued success and partnerships with the community in Aurora as we support our students to pursue excellence.”
