We Plant It Forward to Hold Rain Barrel Workshop at Lake Crabtree Park

Come to a We Plant It Forward’s “Rain Barrel Workshop” on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Participants will make and take home a 55 gallon rain barrel with installation instructions.

Two workshop sessions are planned, with the first starting at 5:30pm and the second starting at 6:45pm.  The hour-long workshop is fun and easy. Instructors will guide you through the building of your rain barrel. No prior skills are required. Participants will use power tools, and must wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and comfortable clothing for this workshop.

Lake Crabtree County Park is located at 1400 Aviation Parkway, Morrisville, North Carolina.

The cost is $45 which includes the barrel. Make checks payable to “We Plant it Forward”. Registration is required by March 23, 2017. Space is limited to 8 participants in each workshop.

The We Plant it Forward program aims to build an open community network of people who will make tree planting an everyday practice. The program Strives to nurture a way of life that moves communities from protecting and restoring the natural environment to nurturing a thriving natural environment. Services include giving away tree seedlings, educating the community about the benefits of trees and tree planting, and showing people how easy it is to plant and nurture trees.
