This year’s Public Safety Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 6, 2017, 10am-2pm in downtown Wendell NC. This will be the ninth year that this special community meet-and-greet event has been held.

Meet first responders and those who help to keep the Wendell community safe. Citizens of all ages are invited to come meet Wendell police, fire, and EMS professionals and see demonstrations of their equipment.  Opportunities will be provided to sit behind the wheel in a Wendell police vehicle — maybe even turn on the lights and siren. Check out the fire department and EMS equipment too.

During this free, four-hour event, food and drink options will be available. Watch for raffles and special children’s activities. This public event is being held downtown along W Campen Street, Wendell NC.
