The North Carolina Industrial Hemp Association (NCIHA) will be holding the first Annual Voting Member and Board Meeting on Tuesday, November 1, 2016.

Thanks to reaching their funding goal mandated by the state, and support from hundreds in the state and across the nation, NCIHA has successfully in achieving their goal of having North Carolina join the Hemp-producing states. Now, we are taking the next step and having our first meeting of our membership!

At the meeting, members will vote and elect the first slate of association board officers, including a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.  Nominations are being accepted for these seats within the association.

All members of the Association may attend the meeting; however, only voting members may vote!  In September, information on the nominees will be distributed to members for their consideration when voting.  Voting will take place prior to the November 1 meeting.

If you’d like to have a say in the direction of the NC Industrial Hemp Association, become a voting member. If you’re already a member, be sure to renew your dues or upgrade membership by September 2016.

  • 10am — Board Members Meeting
  • 11:30am — Voting Member Meeting and Elections
  • 12pm (noon) — General Information Sessions and NC Pilot Program Updates

Throughout the day, there will be speakers and exhibitors to help educate on the industrial hemp industry.

This initial meeting is planned in the Central North Carolina area. The venue is being prepared behind the scenes, and a location announcement will be made this Fall. For more information or with questions, contact the NCIHA Board of Directors and its Volunteers at 888.530.6731.
