Rocky Mount’s “Popsicles and Stories in the Park” Events to Encourage Reading

Oh, no, you’ve missed the first Popsicles and Stories in the Park, but there are more upcoming chances to participate. This reading-oriented event for children of all ages will be held every-other Tuesday at parks around Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

Rocky Mount Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Braswell Memorial Library, is hosting these free “Popsicles and Stories in the Park” events at 10am on these dates:

  • Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Hornbeam Park, 150 Cunningham Drive, Rocky Mount, NC
  • Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Buck Leonard Park, 929 S. Grace Street, Rocky Mount, NC
  • Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Stith-Talbert Park, 729 Pennsylvania Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC
  • Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Three Sisters Park, 751 Morning Star Church Road, Battleboro, NC
  • Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Sunset Park, 1550 River Drive, Rocky Mount, NC

These family-friendly events are for children of all ages and includes games, stories, and free popsicles.

Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs for sitting.
