Spanish/English Bilingual Family Storytime
Held at the Main Library on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, 4pm. The Library will continue this bilingual program the last Tuesday of each month.

- Button Art: Create Your Own Card* is Tuesday, May 7, 2019 @ 7pm. Use buttons to craft a greeting card for any occasion, including Mother’s Day (May 12). For ages 5 and up. No registration required
- Balancing Butterflies is Tuesday, May 14, 2019 @ 7pm. Learn about the butterfly life cycle and create a balancing butterfly while discussing the center of gravity and balance point. For ages 5 and up. No registration required.
- Get Painting with guest presenter Kim Valentine from Colorful Spirits* is Tuesday, May 21, 2019 @ 7pm. Guests will paint under the direction of guest presenter Kim Valentine. Ages 5 and up. Registration is required and limited to 25.
- Lego Club* is Tuesday, May 28, 2019 @ 7pm. Lego Club is presented every fourth Tuesday of the Month. Please join us for a fun time building. All Legos are provided. For ages 5 and up. No registration required.

Health Talks: CPR and Nutrition takes place Wednesday, May 1, 2019 @ 6pm. in the Main Library Assembly Room. Take charge of your health with this free learning session! Two topics will be discussed; Danielle Vick, Training Specialist, will teach the lifesaving technique of hands-only CPR, and Paula Furiness, Wellness Coordinator and Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist, will talk about wellness and nutrition. Computer Maintenance Basics is on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 @ 2-3:30pm. Proficiency with keyboard, mouse, and basic computing skills is required. Learn tips and tricks for improving your computer’s performance, stability and speed through common maintenance tasks.

A History of the Davis Family in North Carolina and Texas takes place on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 @ 7pm in the Main Library Assembly Room. Karen Edmundson will present her new book, A History of the Davis Family in North Carolina and Texas. Edmundson’s first book is a narrative which describes the lives of Nathan Davis and his families, including a family tree going back nine generations. Her research focuses on families of Wayne County including Hooks, Bass, Davis, Barnes, Newsome, and more. Edmundson, a retired nurse, has lived in North Carolina for over forty years, and is passionate about her genealogy research. Hosted by the Wilson County Genealogical Society. All are welcome and there is no charge to attend.
