Ready to start a business? Figure out those critical first steps toward entrepreneurship. Learn about researching the market and competitors, securing funds, and projecting results. Registration requested.

Sylvan Study Skills: Turning Frustration into Confidence (April 25, 2017 @ 6pm)

There’s much more to study skills than just paying attention and taking notes! Using a variety of study tips and strategies, Sylvan leaders can give you and your child tips on how to get more organized, strategically plan projects and achieve goals — all skills that align well with school standards. Watch “Lego Star Wars: The New Yoda Chronicles” and enjoy crafts, activities, books, snacks and trivia.

ABC Craft and Learn: A Kindergarten Readiness Program (April 1, 8, 15, 29, 2017 @ 11:30am)

Children ages 3-5 and their caregivers are invited to participate in an interactive alphabet-based program to nurture pre-reading skills and to develop fine motor skills required to start school through writing, play, and an alphabet craft.

Ready, Set, School Community Playdate (April 22, 2017 @ 11:30am-1:30pm)

Join Marbles Kids Museum at the library for family play to support kids ages 3-5 in getting ready for school.

Teen Scene

Teen Poetry Contest (through April 15, 2017)

Teens, grades 6-12, are invited to submit up to three original poems for their age group.  Winners will be announced in May in each of the age categories: grade 6, grades 7-8, grades 9-10 and grades 11-12.
