NC Humanities Council presents the book series “Explorations of Faith in Literature.” Two presentations are scheduled.

October 6, 2016 @ 6-7:30pm —  Joe Gomez, Professor of English at North Carolina State University will lead the discussion on the book “The Chosen” by Chaim Potok in the Warner Meeting Room.

October 20, 2016 @ 6-7:30pm — Scholar Jane Andrews will discuss the book “A Prayer for Owen Meany” by John Irving in the Computer Lab.

Indie Author Day

October 8, 2016 @ 2pm-4pm — Join Braswell Memorial Library as we host Indie Author Day. Starting at 2pm in the Computer Lab, there will be an hour long digital gathering featuring Q&A with writers, agents, and other industry leaders. After the digital gathering, Local North Carolina authors will have book presentations.

October 12, 2016 @ 6-7:30pm — Author Felicia Lucas will present her book “Make It Happen: Moving Towards Your Best U!” Books will be available for purchase and author signing after the presentation in the Computer Lab.

Good Reads Book Club

October 24, 2016 @ 10:30am-12pm — The Book Club will be reading “A Prayer for Owen Meany” by John Irving in the Computer Lab. If you are interested in joining the Book club, please contact Kesha Joyner 252.442.1951 x.253.

JFK Lecture

October 26, 2016 @ 5pm-7pm — Richard Sullins of Wake Tech Community College presents “Recent Developments in the Assassination of President John F. Kennedy” in the YS Story time Room.
