2016 Easter Food Box Drive
Released by Nash County Aging Department
The Nash County Senior Center is in need of assistance and participation in the third Annual Easter Food Box Drive. The purpose of this program is to collect and distribute non-perishable food items to needy senior citizens throughout Nash County.
We will be collecting non-perishable food items beginning February 1, 2016 and continuing through March 11, 2016. Needed items include:
- canned fruits and vegetables,
- canned pasta dishes,
- canned meats,
- dry boxed or bagged food items,
- canned nutritional beverages, and
- other non-perishable food items.
Monetary donations are also accepted. 100% of monies donated will go toward the purchase of food items. Checks may be made payable to Nash County and should be received by March 11, 2016.
Volunteers are also needed to help assemble the boxes on March 16, 2016 and to deliver them to seniors in need March 21-23, 2016. Call 252.459.7681 for more information.
