Farmville Sharks are hungry to bring innovative and entrepreneurial retail ideas to their downtown business area.  We have pulled together seven successful “Sharks” — business people interested in helping you to get started or grow.  We want to use our time, resources, and connections to help you in your business.

We are an outside-the-box group interested in partnering with you if you bring to the table the skills and resources necessary to establish and run a business, or expand an existing business in our town.  Our “Sharks” are open to all ideas but have a particular interest in food and beverage services, apparel, bed and breakfast, boutique hotel, microbrewery, quality child care, or other unique retail opportunities.

While all businesses locating in Farmville are eligible, priority will be given to businesses locating in the downtown business district.  This 14-block area is home to a mixture of retail, restaurants, office, educational, and a variety of service based businesses.

Our Sharks have partnered with the Greenville NC office of the Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) located on the ECU campus to help us select the best and most viable businesses. The Farmville Group/Farmville Shark Tank has the right to reject incomplete applications outright or give the applicant one chance to make the application complete.

Candidates need to advise us as to their intentions to participate — by submitting an application and brief business plan — by April 6, 2018.

We will be conducting our final round of interviews on May 16, 2018 beginning at 6:30pm at the Farmville Arts and Event Center, 3732 W Wilson Street, Farmville NC.
