Register Now for Writers Spring Retreat in Durham, NC on Apr. 23

There is still time to sign up to attend the Franklin County Arts Council’s Writers Guild Spring Retreat on Saturday, April 23, 2022.  The Retreat is being held at Rolling View State Park’s Community Building from 9am until 4pm. Writers of all stages of writing experience are encouraged to attend.

The writers’ guild is excited to have David Halperin, author of the popular book Journal of a UFO Investigator, as their guest speaker. He will open a full day of writing, networking, and fellowship.  From 1976 through 2000, David taught Jewish history in the Religious Studies Department at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Now retired from teaching, he lives in North Carolina. He’s the author of five non-fiction books on Jewish mysticism and messianism, the coming-of-age novel Journal of a UFO Investigator, and more recently, the non-fiction book Intimate Alien: The Hidden Story of the UFO.

Participants should bring a bag lunch. Rolling View State Park is part of the Falls Lake State Recreation Area and is located near Durham, NC. Rolling View State Park’s Community Building’s address is 4201 Baptist Road, Durham, NC.
