When it comes to diversity, the International Festival Cultures is an event rivaled by few others. Sponsored by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission, the city of Rocky Mount, Nash Community College, PNC Bank, Nash UNC Healthcare, Cummins Rocky Mount Engine Plant, Rocky Mount Mills and Movin’ 99.3, the annual celebration serves to highlight the variety of ethnic communities that call Rocky Mount, North Carolina home.
The Human Relations department is currently seeking participants from the various cultures to set up and man display booths, take part in the cultural fashion show, provide entertainment, food, and much more.
The event will be held March 3, 2018, noon-4pm, in the Brown Auditorium on the campus of Nash Community College, 522 N Old Carriage Road, Rocky Mount NC. The festival has become a favorite for the community.
“We always look forward to the International Festival of Cultures,” said Archie Jones, Human Relations director for the city of Rocky Mount. “From the food to the fashion and the friendly atmosphere, the festival brings our community together and shows us how our diversity makes us stronger.”
