The Town of Louisburg’s free concert series returns for its fourth year. Friday Nights on the Tar 2020 will feature live, local music and activities under the stars, one Friday each month, from May through September.
“Friday Nights on the Tar” include music, food trucks, and a community gathering, with the first concert planned for Friday, May 15, 2020. Why “on the Tar”? Because the Town of Louisburg is located along the Tar River.
Concerts take place in the downtown Amphitheatre, address is 116 N Main Street, Louisburg, NC, this will be the third year that the Town of Louisburg has provided these free, outdoor happenings, appropriate for all ages.
For 2020, Friday Nights on the Tar concerts schedule is:
- Friday, May 15, 2020 — The Castaways Band
- Friday, June 19, 2020 — The Tyson Brothers
- Friday, July 17, 2020 — The Get Right Band
- Friday, August 21, 2020 — The Will McBride Group
- Friday, September 18, 2020 — The Monterio Experience
Concerts are free, as is parking around town.
Find a seat in the outdoor amphitheatre, or bring blankets or lawn chairs.
Food trucks will be located in the parking lot adjacent to the amphitheatre, offering food and treats. Adults will need to show ID for alcoholic beverages, available for purchase from Tar Banks Brewing Company. (No coolers allowed.)
There will be games to play in the area, including corn hole. Some town businesses will stay open late on concern nights. The town will provide portable toilets near the venue. Pets are not allowed at concerts.
