Rocky Mount’s Lawn Chair Theatre Announces Free Family Movies

Mark your calendars for five nights under the sky and family movies as the 2019 Lawn Chair Theatre series is set to begin.

Lawn Chair Theatre kicks off Friday, May 17, 2019, with a viewing of Small Foot (8:30pm) at the Rocky Mount Sports Complex, located at 600 Independence Drive, Rocky Mount, North Carolina. This event also serves as the “Tackle the Tar” kick-off, beginning at 6pm with food, activities, inflatables, and local vendors.

All other Lawn Chair Theatre movie viewings will take place on the lawn of the Imperial Centre for the Arts & Sciences, 270 Gay Street, Rocky Mount, NC. Dates and movies include:

  • Friday, June 14, 2019:  Ralph Breaks the Internet
  • Friday, July 12, 2019:  Hotel Transylvania 3
  • Friday, August 9, 2019:  How to Train Your Dragon – The Hidden World
  • Friday, September 6, 2019:  Incredibles 2

All movies are free and will begin at 8:30pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
