Celebrate the 2017 holiday season in Cherry Creek North on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 10am to 2pm at Winter Fest on Fillmore Plaza, located between 1st and 2nd Avenues on Fillmore Street, Denver, Colorado.

This free, family-friendly event will transform the Plaza into a winter wonderland with live ice carving, elves, temporary fire pits, face painting, complimentary treats and warm beverages, a live DJ, the Denver Police Department’s Mounted Patrol Unit, giveaways, photo stops for kids and furry friends, and more.

“Whether you’re spending the day with your grandkids, friends or just taking the dogs for a walk, Winter Fest is a perfect free, family-friendly community event that encourages visitors to experience the magic of winter outside,” said Julie Underdahl, president and CEO of Cherry Creek North Business Improvement District.

In addition to the festive fun on Fillmore Plaza, businesses in the area will host free Winter Fest activities, such as ornament decorating and live entertainment. Click here for a full list of Cherry Creek North participants.

Shop, eat, stroll, socialize and spread the joy of the holidays in one of Denver’s most walkable and accessible shopping districts. Visitors can plan an entire winter Saturday outdoors or cozy up in one of the area’s unique retailers, restaurants, and spas.

The holidays are a busy time; it’s easy to park (or valet) once and walk the 16 block area. Many public parking garage options include $5 flat rates on weekends and evenings or valet opportunities at numerous locations. Many small businesses offer free parking for customers, and visitors can also hail a free Eco-Ride USA cart at Moxy Denver Cherry Creek — which is offering free parking for the first 30 cars — and ride for free to their favorite area business.

Part of the Cherry Creek North Business Improvement District (BID), Cherry Creek North offers shopping, dining, living, working, and visiting, in addition to annual events like Winter Fest. The BID was established in 1989 as the first business improvement district in the state of Colorado. The BID’s boundaries extend 16 blocks, from 1st Avenue to 3rd Avenue, and from University to Steele Street.
