The Franklin County Arts Council (FCAC) has selected their Artist of the Year: Clina Polloni.

Clina Polloni is a contemporary artist born in Chili. Her colorful oil paintings are inspired by her love for people, animals, and nature expressing her art through the canvas in oil painting. Her new project “The motif of the human figure” is a dialogue with natures light and colors.

In her new paintings she is portraying the people of North Carolina in their environment and activities, representing a time and history of our state.

Clina Polloni lives with her husband, Thomas C. Allen, at The Marigold Plantation, where she has her art studio.  In her studio, she exhibits her paintings and teaches painting classes.  The Marigold Plantation is located at 13 Garner Road, Franklinton NC.

The Franklin County Arts Council is “a nonprofit community organization which is passionate about developing all areas of arts within our diverse community.” Their headquarters, including art galleries, is located at 22 S Main Street, Franklinton NC.

FCAC Members-Only Benefit:  Free painting classes, taught by Clina Polloni, are scheduled for the second Saturday of each month in 2018, 1-4pm. Classes will be held at FCAC’s Up-Front Gallery, 22 S Main Street, Franklinton NC.
