Franklin County Arts Council Artists Show Work at Wilson Arts Center’s Boykin Gallery

Seventeen members of the Franklin County Arts Council are exhibiting their works at the Wilson Art Center’s Boykin Gallery. The show opened with a reception Thursday evening, January 12, 2017, and will run through February 18, 2017.

Everett Mayo, acting as a liaison to the Wilson Arts Council, curated the exhibit. He gave gave credit to the Arts Council of Wilson in a statement saying,

“I cannot thank the ACW Visual Arts Director, Amy Hughes enough for making our venture to Wilson most welcome, not to mention her outstanding curatorial skill hanging the artwork from the FCAC … it looked positively great.”

Pamela Andrejev, FCAC Coordinator, also expressed appreciation to Amy Hughes and the Arts Council of Wilson for supporting our artists and giving them this incredible opportunity to showcase their talents. She added, “FCAC also extends thanks to Curator, Everett Mayo, for facilitating and curating the show in Wilson, his professional relationship with Ms. Hughes made this opportunity possible.”

The FCAC artists’ works include a variety of mediums including painting, pottery, photography, woodworking and mixed media. Artists participating in the show are:

The Wilson Arts Center and Boykin gallery is located at the corner of Goldsboro and Nash Streets in Wilson, North Carolina. For directions go to their website www.wilsonarts.com/directions. The gallery is open Tuesday through Friday, 10am-5pm, and Saturday, 10am-3pm.
