Franklin County Arts Council: September Artist of the Month is Peggy Harris

The Franklin County Arts Council (FCAC), based in Louisburg, North Carolina, announces their September 2021 Artist of the Month: Peggy Harris. Her works will be on display at the FCAC Gallery on the Hill throughout the month.

Peggy Harris is an experienced artist in several Art genres. She started performing in musical arts as a vocalist at age 5 and later in her early teens as a guitarist. She is active in the local Bluegrass community continues to perform musically to date. Peggy owns and operates a Fiber Arts business and has been in the Fiber Arts industry for over 47 years with crochet arts as her focus.  She has taught crochet for more than 14 years.

Meet Peggy at the Franklin County Arts Council’s September Artist Open House, and sign up to attend her fiber art workshop “How to Read Crochet Patterns.”

  • September 1-30, 2021 — Peggy’s Fiber Art will be on display
  • September 11, 2021 @ 11am-1pm — Meet the Artist Open House
  • September 11, 2021 @ 1-3pm — “How to Read Crochet Patterns” workshop — Register at Franklin County Arts Council website fcacarts.org/events  or call the gallery at 919.497.6910.  This workshop is limited to 8 participants.

The Gallery on the Hill is located at 99 S. Bickett Blvd, Louisburg, North Carolina.  The gallery is open Thursdays and Fridays (noon-4pm) and Saturday (11am-3pm).
