Grassroots Arts Program Grants: Application Deadline Extended to Dec. 31

Franklin County Arts Council (FCAC) serves as the North Carolina Arts Council’s partner in awarding subgrants to local organizations for arts programs in Franklin County. Applications are available for nonprofit organizations whose purpose is to promote and develop diverse cultural arts programming in Franklin County.

Funding priority is given to qualified arts organizations, arts in education programs conducted by qualified artists, and other community organizations that provide arts programs in the county. Grassroots funds are not generally awarded to arts organizations that receive funding through the NC Arts Council’s State Arts Resources.

Projects must occur from late 2020 to June 15, 2021.

Application forms and grant guidelines are available on the Franklin County Arts Council website at www.fcacarts.org/programs.aspx. Applications may also be picked up at the FCAC’s Gallery on The Hill, located at 99 S Bickett Blvd, Louisburg, NC (Thursday-Friday, noon-4pm). The Arts Council will mail applications and guidelines upon request.

Contact FCAC at fcac.arts@fcacarts.org or 919.497.6910 to register for a Grassroots Arts Program Grant work session to assist interested applicants in preparing a competitive grant request. New applicants are strongly encouraged to attend.

Since 1977, the North Carolina Arts Council’s Grassroots Arts Program has provided North Carolina citizens access to quality arts experiences. Using a per capita based formula, the program provides funding for the arts in all 100 counties of the state through partnerships with local arts councils.
