Hand in Mine Backpack & Basketball Skills Camp Offers Challenges, School Supplies

A new nonprofit organization, Hand in Mine, is holding a unique event where teen participants work through physical training activities before receiving a backpack filled with school supplies for the coming school year.

The motivational speaker for “Basketball and Backpacks Skill Camp” is Reggie Bullock — a former UNC Tarheel. He now plays in the NBA for the Detroit Pistons.

This event is geared toward teens age 10 to 13. The camp takes place August 19, 2017, 9am-1pm, at the Greenfield School in Wilson, North Carolina. Spaces are limited; registration is $50 per teen.

For more details on Hand In Mine, or to register for this event, contact organizers Jeremy Jeffers or Darian Cahill. See flyer below for telephone numbers.

Hand In Mine was established to be the meeting place for children who were becoming uninterested in their academics, not having the opportunity to compete in organized sports, and lacking necessary life skills. All of these issues correlate with each other. See more at www.handinmine.net.
