Imperial Centre for the Arts and Sciences, located at 270 Gay Street, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, has a full schedule of summer classes, workshops, drop-in programs, and more to enjoy.

Yoga in the Galleries
Thursdays, June-August, 2018 @ 5:30-6:30pm
Relax after-hours amongst art! Bring your own yoga mat and be led by a certified yoga instructor for an hour-long program in the galleries. Join us every Thursday– perfect for professionals, beginners, and advanced yogis. Fee is $5 per person for each class. Hate waiting in line? Call 252.972.1266 to pay in advance.
Family Sundays
Every-other Sunday, June 10-August 19, 2018 @ 2-4pm
Sundays are for families! Bring your family to the art gallery for an afternoon full of family-friendly activities. Drop into the gallery for art making, interactive play, gallery sketching, or go on your own exhibition tour! Ages 3 and up with accompanying adults. This free event is held in the Art Gallery.
Make Art: Drop-in Workshops
Every-other Saturday, June 16-August 25, 2018 @ 11am-1pm (No class June 30)
Join us to experiment with different types of art at these free drop-in workshops. Travel around the Imperial Centre, observe sculpture, paintings, drawings, photographs, architecture, and many more artist-made objects, and then make your own! Registration is not required, drop-ins of age 6+ welcome. Limited to 25 participants. These workshops are taught in the Art Gallery and Art Education Building at the Imperial Centre. The instructor is Fenia Guilford
Lunch and Learn
Friday, June 8, 2018 @ noon-1pm
Bring a lunch and interact with artists. (If desired, lunch may be provided for a fee.) From playwrights, painters, and all artists in between, learn about process, discuss projects, and ask questions during an hour-long interactive gallery talk and demonstration. The featured artist is Margaret Morrison. Open to all ages, all materials provided; no experience necessary. Held in the Art Gallery.
