The GrowHaus Annual Event includes Vendors, Music, Kids’ Stuff, and More

Released by thegrowhaus.org

The GrowHaus invites everyone to come to the annual Seed Swap! The event is March 12, 2016, from 10am to 7pm. All are invited to attend the party to plan for your spring garden planting.  This is not just a place to pick up your seeds, but to learn and connect with Denver’s gardening community.

In addition to the Seed Swap and workshops all day, the planned activities include:

  • local vendors selling food
  • tours of The GrowHaus
  • an organic, local market
  • live music
  • interactive stations for children

Bring saved seeds with you to be entered in a special drawing!

The GrowHaus is hosting this event at their location, 4751 York Street, in Denver CO.

Through this event, The GrowHaus will work to foster a sense of community and connected-ness with and among all of our neighbors. They believe “Healthy food is a right, not a privilege”.  According to their website, The GrowHaus is…

a nonprofit indoor farm, marketplace and educational center in Denver’s Elyria-Swansea neighborhood. Our vision is a world where all communities have the means to nourish themselves, and our mission is to create a community-driven, neighborhood-based food system by serving as a hub for food distribution, production, education, and economic development.

This is the sixth year that this gardening and food-oriented event has been held. If you have questions regarding the Seed Swap or other events at this location, call The GrowHaus at 720.515.4751 or email them. Their programs and information are on their website at www.thegrowhaus.org. They are also on Facebook.
