Wilson County NC Library Events for April 2017

Wilson County Public library has released a list of upcoming programs offered to the public this April.

Main Library

Children’s Early Literacy Programs continue at the Main Library every Wednesday and Thursday morning. Children ages birth through 2 are invited to join the 9:30am program. Preschool age children are invited to join the 10am program.

On Thursday, April 6, 2017, at 4:30 p.m., teens are invited to come and take part in Soap Carving 101.

On Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 6pm, the library will host Teen Movie Night and will be showing Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Computer classes will be offered in the conference room every Wednesday in April, 3:30pm to 5pm. Classes require prior enrollment. Contact Mark at 252.237.5355 x.5074 to enroll.

On Thursday, April 13, 2017, at 2pm in the Assembly Room, adults are invited to a book discussion and signing with Beverly Lewis, Christian fiction and children’s author.

On Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 6pm and again on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at 2pm in the assembly room, adults are invited to participate in “Paint Party.” Follow a step-by-step demonstration and create your own painting.

Lapsit is Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 10:30am.

East Branch

Storytime held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, and Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 4pm.

Elm City

Early Literacy Storytime is Tuesday, April 11, 2017, and Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at both 10am and 4pm.

Teen Programs, TeensCreateit, on Thursday, April 13, 2017, and on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at 4pm.

Lucama

Teen programs are:

  • “Board Game Day,” Thursday, April 6, 2017, at 4pm.
  • “Teen movie Night,” April 20, 2017, at 4pm.

Story Time is Tuesday, April 4, 2017, and Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 4pm.

Book Chat is Thursday, April 6, 2017, at 3pm.

Crafternoon is Thursday, April 20, 2017, at 2pm.

Bookmobile

Saratoga, Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 3:30pm.

Rockridge on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 3pm, and at Sims at 4:15pm.

  • Saratoga — Across the street from Premier Auto Body, 6822 Main Street, Saratoga NC. (The bookmobile parks in an empty lot across the street from the body shop.)
  • Rock Ridge — In the parking lot adjacent to Williamson Peanuts, 6512 Rock Ridge School Road, Wilson NC (Exit 116 off I-95).
  • Sims — In the parking lot adjacent to the Sheriff’s outpost located at 6402 Hwy 264a, Sims NC.
