Wilson NC Library to Hold Teen and Adult Events, Plan Book Club

Wilson County Public Library is holding a number of programs in November and December at the main branch library. The Wilson County Public Library’s main branch is located at 249 Nash Street W, in Wilson, North Carolina.

All programs listed are free and open to the public.

For young children, early literacy programs will continue at the Main Library on Wednesday and Thursday mornings, except for Thursday, November 24, 2016, when the library will be closed for Thanksgiving.

  • Children ages birth through 2 are invited to join the 9:30am program.
  • Preschool age children are invited to join the 10am program.

Teen events for November include a Teens “How To” providing assistance in planning for college, a teen movie night, and “tech tinkering” too.

Teen events for December include a holiday-themed creative event, a genealogy workshop, movie night, and a Lego Block party.

The library publishes a teen newsletter, the TEEN Underground Chronicles, and the Fall 2016 issue PDF may be read here.

Upcoming adult programs are scheduled for the Lucama and Stantonsburg branches, as well as the main library. The list of upcoming adult programs, including craft workshops, may be found here.

In addition to the regular programs, the library is working toward creation of a Book Club to start in early 2017. Those interested in helping with the Book Club may join this open meeting on December 6, 2016, at either noon or 7pm.
