On Saturday, April 28, 2018, 3-5pm, the Franklin County Arts Council (FCAC) will hold its “Afternoon Tea with The Artist” free event at the Up-Front Gallery, located at 22 S Main Street, Franklinton, North Carolina. Artists featured are Donna Campbell Smith and Dawn Lancaster.
Come and visit with artists Donna Campbell Smith and Dawn Lancaster displaying their Eco-Print art works. Refreshments will be served.
Dawn Lancaster lives in Youngsville NC and has been doing eco-printing on paper and silk for about four years. It is a fascinating process that has been done for decades. All the designs are beautiful and uniquely different. It is such a joy creating these one of a kind scarves.
Donna Campbell Smith stayed to watch Dawn’s eco print demos and was immediately intrigued by the unique process of Eco-Printing that Dawn demonstrated. Donna sometimes combines mediums to produce collages, she does watercolor paintings and is a photographer as well.
