Eastern NC Halloween Attractions and Farm Fun

These attractions and farm activities are ordered by town name. Ticket information and 2017 pricing may be found by following links, which are provided for attractions.

Blowing Rock — Ghost Train

Tweetsie Railroad is located at 300 Tweetsie Railroad Lane, in Blowing Rock NC. This Blue Ridge Mountain attraction includes the Ghost Train®, along with a haunted house, Freaky Forest, and much more.

The Ghost Train runs Friday and Saturday nights — September 22-23, 29-30; October 6-7, 13-14, 20-21, 27-28, 2017, with gates opening each night at 7:30pm. It is not recommended for young children; parents be cautioned.

Admission is $38 per person, with ages 2 and under free. Admission includes all the nighttime events in the park including a ride on the Ghost Train, trick-or-treating for the kids, Tweetsie Palace Spooktacular, the rides in the Creepy Carnival, and the attractions in The Boneyard section.

Advance tickets are required. Tickets may be purchased at tweetsie.com/buy-tickets.

Clayton — Fear Farm Daytime / Haunted Scream Park

Clayton Fear Farm Daytime offers Halloween and fall family fun.  Great attractions for the entire family including a millet maze, pumpkin patch, and much more. Located minutes from Raleigh near Clayton NC. The Daytime attractions open October 7, 2017.

Clayton Fear Farm Haunted Scream Park offers haunted, scary Halloween fun. Attractions including several haunted houses, the dizzying Black Hole, and haunted cotton maze. Located minutes from Raleigh near Clayton NC. Fear Farm opens October 6, 2017.

Both the daytime and fear-farm attractions are on the Boyette Family Farms, 1620 Loop Road, Clayton NC.

Garner — Kens Korny Corn Maze and Haunted Trail

Get lost in the 2017 “Curious George” corn maze, play in the hay, walk through corn, or take a hayride.  Located at Ken’s Produce, 3175 Benson Road, Garner NC, this attraction’s details, fees, and schedule will be available as Fall approaches. Watch www.kenskornycornmaze.com.

When Halloween approaches, Ken’s Korny Corn Maze opens a haunted trails, leading visitors through a corn field, woods, and scary house. Their 2017 information and schedule should be available later in September at www.harvestedfarmnightmares.com and on Facebook.

Greenville — Briley’s Farm Market Pumpkin Patch

Briley’s Farm Market is located at 5290 Old Pactolus Hwy, Greenville NC. The farm market hours are Fridays 3-7pm,  Saturdays 9am-7pm, and Sundays 12-6pm. Watch for their annual Pumpkin Patch to open during the Fall.

Havelock — Nightmare Factory Haunted Attraction

Come this Halloween season for a Nightmare as you journey deep into a part of American history that’s shrouded in darkness… the Nightmare Factory.  Main attractions include The Factory and the Psych Ward, with three side attractions.

The Nightmare Factory is located at 29 Park Lane, Havelock NC. Attractions are open September 22 through November 11, 2017.

Kenly — Sonlight Farms Corn Maze

Sonlight Farms offers fall family fun for all ages. Corn maze, hayrides, barnyard bounce house, playground, and much more. The farm is located at 293 Bunn Road, Kenly NC.

Open late September through early November 2017. Check their website at www.sonlightfarmsnc.com. or their Facebook page for days/hours of operation and fees. Note that on September 23, 2017, 10am-5pm, Sonlight Farms is hosting a special Ladies Day.

Macclesfield — Strickland Farm Trail of Terror

The darkness comes alive when darkness falls. Trek down a long, narrow, winding path through haunted woods with moonlight is the only guide. Do not come alone. Located at The Strickland Farm, 7346 Strickland Farm Road, Macclesfield NC (Wilson County).

Opening weekend is October 6-7, 2017, starting at 7pm. Additional dates are October 13-14, 20-21, and 27-28, and 31, 2017. For times and ticket information, visit www.thestricklandfarmtrailofterror.com or the farm Facebook page.

Middlesex — Darkside Haunted Estates

This attraction includes a walk through a dark forest, multiple structures connected by paths, and even a haunted hayride. Concessions available at the site. Tickets start at $5 and are on sale now via app.hauntpay.com/events/darkside-haunted-estates by date.

Located at 11875 North Carolina Hwy-222 W, Middlesex NC (Nash County) — just minutes from Zebulon NC.

Mount Olive — Marr Branch Haunted House

Visit the “#1 Hell Raising Haunted House in the Country” for its opening weekend September 29-30, 2017, with the ticket booth open at 7pm and tours beginning at 7:30pm. Opening weekend, Military, Police, Fire, and EMS Appreciation provides for a discounted $15 admissions with appropriate ID.

This attraction is located at 2289 Garner Chapel Road, Mount Olive NC. In addition to the opening weekend, the haunted house is open Fridays and Saturdays in October, Halloween night, and November 3-4, 2017.

Oxford — Granville Haunt Farm

Enjoy the fun and fear a Zombie Paint Ball hayride, haunted trail, corn maze, and more. During the day, the corn maze is available.

The farm opens October 7, 2017 at sunset. See full dates/hours schedule at www.granvillehauntfarm.com/hours. This attraction is located on the farm at 4534 US Hwy 15, Oxford NC —  just off of I-85.

Wilson — Dean’s Farm Market Fall Activities

Ride the wagon for a hayride, stop by the pumpkin patch, visit the playground or picnic area, or pick up food at the market. Hayrides are fun for all ages. Dean’s Farm Market is located at 4231 NC Hwy 42 West, Wilson NC.

Youngsville — Haunted Forest at Panic Point

Get your courage on and head into the Haunted Forest, Howling Hayride, Dark Trail, Killers in the Corn, Menacing Maze, Carny Crypt, or Carnival Games.

The Panic Point address is 2808 Cedar Creek Road, Youngsville NC.  Opening day is September 23, 2017. It is open each weekend with a closing date of November 4, 2017.  Tickets range from $19 for the Haunted Forest to $35 for all six attractions.
