Free Cantaloupe at Zebulon Market on July 23

Come to the Zebulon Farm Fresh Market (ZFFM) on July 23, 2016, for free Cantaloupe to the first 50 Customers! All Cantaloupes are courtesy of Rob’s Fresh Produce. Stop by the market’s information tent and receive your free cantaloupe while supplies last. (Limit one cantaloupe per customer, starting at 10am.)

The Zebulon Farm Fresh Market is each Saturday at Zebulon Town Hall, 1003 N Arendell Avenue, in Zebulon NC.

The market is open 9am to 1pm.

In addition to the free cantaloupe, Saturday’s market events include:

  • Live Music with The Jim Riche Project from 10am to 1pm. The Jim Riche Project is a fun, upbeat acoustic group capable of playing a wide range of variety in music. They enjoy playing anything from classic rock hits from Def Leppard to a more mellow sound from Dave Matthews. They even throw in an acoustic rendition of a top 40 hit from Bruno Mars or Jessie J every now and then.
  • Poe Center “Go for It” children’s cooking class from 11am to noon. The class is open to children 8-12 years old. To register your child for the class, call the Zebulon Community Center at 919.823.0432.

Kids Summer Meal Program is still going on. Any child, 18 years and under, visiting the Market will receive a meal from the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.

Farmers Foodshare will be there too. This nonprofit program connects people who grow food with people who need food. The Zebulon Farm Fresh Market is pleased to be partnering with Farmers Foodshare and the Zebulon United Methodist Church. While you shop at the Market please visit the Farmers Foodshare tent and donate cash or food from the market. Cash collected will be used to purchase food from the Market vendors. All food collected, purchased and donated will be distributed at the Zebulon United Methodist Food Pantry. Everybody wins!

Save the Date

The next market day is July 30, 2016, and features live music with Acoustic Grace and a Tomato Recipe Contest.
