The Franklin County Arts Council (FCAC) Diversity Team invites writers of prose and poetry, and musicians, to participate in their annual Open Mic on Saturday, February 15, 2020, celebrating Black History Month and the multicultural community.

Open Mic begins at 2pm at Muddy Mountain Art and Wine Bar, located at 348 S Bickett Blvd (Suite 102), Louisburg, North Carolina.  This year’s theme is “I Shall Not Be Moved,” focusing on Perseverance, Courage, and Determination.

Free snacks will be served. Soft drinks, wine, and beer will be available for purchase.

Step up to the mic, or come to watch, listen, and socialize.

The FCAC Diversity Team sponsors culturally diverse arts opportunities to increase interest, awareness, and participation in Franklin County.  The team sponsors three events each year:

  • Open Mic
  • Hispanic Heritage Day (held during National Hispanic Heritage Month)
  • A Multicultural Festival (held in the Fall)

Anyone wanting to join the team and help to plan events may contact Franklin County Arts Council by emailing fcac.arts@fcacarts.org or calling 919.497.6910.

The FCAC Diversity Team has a Facebook Group available here.
