RESCHEDULED due to weather! New date and location to be announced.

_________

The Franklin County Arts Council (FCAC) Writers’ Guild is holding a public retreat and Guild meeting at Falls Lake State Recreational Area on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, 1-2:30pm. This outdoor gathering is open to FCAC members and non-members, and participation is free.

Guild business will be discussed during this meeting, including: the Carolina Prize for Writing contest, the annual County Lines: A Literary Journal, 2021 plans, a launch party, workshops, and more.

This is a chance to get outside and interact, socially distanced, with other writers.  This Writers’ Guild meeting is open to all who are interested. Membership is not required, nor is Franklin County residency. Join this in-person “retreat” meeting and learn about the Guild, FCAC, and local resources.

Visit this link (PDF) for a map with the Writers’ Guild meeting address (14600 Creedmoor Road, Wake Forest, NC) and GPS information. The Writers’ Guild meeting will take place in Shelter #23. Parking is available a short walk from the pavilion/shelter, which is near the water. Note that as it is “off season” for the park, there is no entrance fee.

Be sure to bring writing supplies (pen, paper, or PC) and stay after the meeting to relax and be inspired. The park will stay open until 8pm for those who wish to linger and write, or just enjoy the park.
