This appointment-based service assists library members with learning to use Readers Advisory tools (e.g., Goodreads, NoveList) as well as finding great book suggestions for their reading tastes.

Babies and their caregivers are invited to participate in a 20 minute lapsit program that incorporates age appropriate books, music, rhymes, and movement.

Toddler Storytime

Tuesdays and Wednesdays and Fridays @ 9:30am and 10:30am

Children from walkers to age 3 and their caregivers are invited to participate in a 25 minute interactive program that incorporates age appropriate books, music, rhymes, and movement.

Preschool Storytime

Mondays and Thursdays @ 9:30am and 10:30am

Children ages 3-5 and their caregivers are invited to participate in an interactive program that incorporates age appropriate books, songs, and movement to nurture pre-reading skills.

Family Storytime

Saturdays @ 9:30am

Young children and their families are invited to participate in an interactive program that incorporates age appropriate books, songs and movement to nurture pre-reading skills.

Family Pajama Storytime

Wednesdays @ 7pm

Young children and their families are invited to put on their PJ’s, grab their teddy bears and join us for an evening filled with bedtime stories and songs.

ABC Craft and Learn: A Kindergarten Readiness Program

Saturdays @ 11:30am

Children ages 3-5 and their caregivers are invited to participate in an interactive alphabet-based program to nurture pre-reading skills and to develop fine motor skills through writing, play, and an alphabet craft.

Ready, Set, School Community Playdate

Join Marbles Kids Museum at the Library for family play to support kids ages 3-5 in getting ready for school.

School-Aged Kid Adventures

Children in grades K-2nd and 3rd -5th create, discover, and explore through books, activities, and more.

K-2nd grade Adventures

Held on Tuesdays at 5:30pm.

  • Week 1 (Create) K-2: Tuesday, November 5, 2019 — A Million Dots  — Create with colorful confetti dots. Watch the magic as they turn into art to take home. Andrew Clements book, A Million Dots!
  • Week 2 (Discover) — K-2: Tuesday, November 12, 2019 —   Play with Clay  —  Sculpt, blend colors and create with clay. We’ll read a book, learn techniques with clay and make butter slime with clay!
  • Week 3 (Read) — K-2: Tuesday, November 19, 2019 — Color Etching Art —  Read and learn about etching art techniques with different mediums, including foil and scratch art. Design your own work of art to take home.
  • Week 4  (Thanksgiving) — K-2: Tuesday,  November 26, 2019  — Princess and Dragons — Princess, dragons, and fairy tales. We’ll read “Would You Rather Be a Princess or a Dragon?” by Saltzberg. Make your own dragon race car.

3rd-5th grade Adventures

Held on Thursdays at 4:30pm.

  • Week 1 (Create) — 3-5:  Thursday,  November 7, 2019 —  Create Outside the lines – Artful Aprons   —  Turn a blank canvas into a wearable masterpiece. Design your own apron.
  • Week 2 (Discover) — 3-5: Thursday,  November 14, 2019 —   Dare to Discover: Marble Runs! — Will your team ‘s marble run be the fastest? Most Creative? Craziest? The race is on!
  • Week 3 (Read) — 3-5: Thursday,  November 21, 2019 — Read Beyond the Book: Cookbook Creations — Customize your own hot chocolate mix and add the recipe to your very own visual cookbook!
  • Week 4  (Thanksgiving) — 3-5: Thursday,  November 28, 2019 — Thanksgiving — No program.
