Carmike 10-Wilson Movie Review of the Issue

By Kay Whatley, Editor

This issue we’re reviewing a family-oriented movie that recently came out, Trouble With The Curve, starring Clint Eastwood.

Clint Eastwood plays a baseball scout dealing with growing old. Much of the story includes his daughter, played by Amy Adams, and the health issues he is facing as well as unanswered questions from his daughter’s
time growing up.

As we were leaving the theatre, my husband referred to the move as “a good father-daughter movie”. I would agree with that. I would refer to it as a sports movie, since most of the action and conversations go back to the father’s work as a baseball scout and the coming baseball draft.

We enjoyed the movie. It tells a good story. Eastwood and Adams portray the father and daughter relationship well. They and several other likeable characters (and a few unlikable) keep the story moving along at a good pace. It is a good, clean movie with a nice flow, and we hope you will check it out for yourself!
