The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department is hosting free, monthly outdoor movies at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road, Wake Forest, North Carolina.
The next Family Movie Nights at Joyner Park will feature the film Mulan on Saturday, July 27, 2019, 8:30pm.
Each Family Movie Night also includes a movie-related pre-show activity for kids. The theme for the July 27 pre-show activity will be “Culture & Crafts!” Beginning at 7:15pm, children 12 and under are invited to have their names written in Chinese characters, make Chinese lanterns and enjoy a variety of crafts.
The final 2019 film screening will be Saturday, August 10, 2019, 7:15pm, and feature the film Bumblebee.
Family Movie Nights at Joyner Park feature family-friendly films projected on a 26-foot inflatable movie screen in the park’s amphitheater. Showtime is 8:30pm. Anyone planning to attend is urged to arrive early as viewing space may be limited.
Family Movie Nights are free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and/or chairs but are reminded that alcohol, smoking, and unleashed pets are prohibited. Assorted food vendors will be on-site selling snacks and refreshments.
In the event of rain, Family Movie Night may be moved inside Flaherty Park Community Center, 1226 N. White Street, Wake Forest, NC. Updates will be posted on the Town’s website and social media, and available by calling the Wake Forest Weather Line at 919.435.9569. Smart phone users who have downloaded the Town of Wake Forest app will also receive a push notification message concerning any schedule changes.
