First Annual Taylorsville Apple Blossom Festival coming on May 7, 2016

We would like to invite everyone to come out to the 1st Annual Taylorsville Apple Blossom Festival in the streets of downtown Taylorsville on May 7, 2016, from 9am to 5pm. We will be hosting numerous vendors including foods, crafts, jewelry, home improvement, medical, Alex. Co. Agencies, novelties, and more.
We will be having lots and lots of activities for the entire family including:
- Tractor Show
- Cow Pie Bingo
- Cow Milking Contest
- Pony Rides
- Petting Zoo
There will also be a “Spring-O-Mania Kids Zone” with rides from Recreational Equipment, climbing wall, quad bungee, train rides, hay rides, a raffle for a free tractor by the Power of the Past Tractor Club, a 5K Color Fun Run sponsored by the Alex. Co. YMCA, two entertainment stages, and so much more.
Make sure to stop by and dance with the Kia Hamster while he visits Taylorsville for the day.
Take time to go see “Elvis” on Main Stage at 11:45am-1pm sponsored by Town & Country Drug. He will also be awarding our Mother of the Year Award while he is here.
All contests and shows will be awarding prizes, trophies and/or gift certificates so make sure to register now for the Tractor Show or buy tickets for the Cow Pie Bingo — where players depend on “Bubba” or “Buford” the cows “poop” on your piece of the pasture.
There are so many fun things to do it is hard to list them all!
Greenway Transportation will be providing a shuttle for this event. Just park along the route and flag the driver, or park at Walmart or the Taylorsville Motel and he will be sure to pick you up at these 2 park and ride spots. The Taylorsville Motel address is 686 E Main Ave, Taylorsville NC.
We hope everyone will come out and support this community event where all proceeds above operating costs go to the Needy Children’s Benevolence Funds in our 11 Alex. Co. Schools.

This town-wide event is brought to you by the Taylorsville Apple Festival, Inc. They have organize a fall “Taylorsville Apple Festival” for 27 years, with this Spring being the first time for the “Taylorsville Apple Blossom Festival”. The Taylorsville Apple Festival is held on the third Saturday of October each year, and draws thousands of visitors to enjoy the day of entertainment, food and fun!
All proceeds above operating costs for the Apple Blossom Festival will go to the Needy Children’s Benevolence Funds in the 11 Alexander County Schools.
“With 27 years of success with the Taylorsville Apple Festival and the exciting 2015 Old Fashioned Christmas event, we hope to build on these successes and start a new tradition for our community with our 1st Annual Taylorsville Apple Blossom Festival,” said organizer Gina Kay Honosky.
