It’s the last work day before holiday break. Your office has a policy against gift-giving; however, just as you prepare to leave a colleague walks through the office dropping gifts on desks including yours.
Being late in the day and just before break, there is not a way to get a gift for her. You have a hunch that she may have planned it this way.
Do you think you should say something to her? Do you feel it is appropriate to keep the gift, or to return it to her?
Alternatively, what if you open the gift and find that it is an expensive and inappropriate item? Would you be more likely to say something to her, or even to your boss?
