Arts Brookfield presents Summer on the Plaza, a free summer concert series on Wednesdays in July. Free music and more comes to the plaza in front of 1801 California street, in downtown Denver, helping the local business and resident communities unwind mid-week.
Two concerts remain in this series showcasing rising stars from Denver’s regional music scene:
- Petals of Spain — July 20, 2016 — a blend of musical influences pulled from many genres, pushing the pop idiom to new plateaus
- Strange Americans — July 27, 2016 — no frills rock and roll with a matching aesthetic that is heavy on songwriting and storytelling
Visitors will also be able to enjoy happy hour specials from 4pm to 6:30pm on the Guard and Grace patio, well within view of the stage.
Beginning at 4pm, KBCO DJ’s will provide entertainment before the bands take the stage at 5pm and play until 6:30pm.
While Summer on the Plaza rocks 1801 California, the lobby at Republic Plaza will host the exhibition PeopleScapes through August 17, 2016.
Summer on the Plaza and PeopleScapes are part of a year-round calendar of free events presented by Arts Brookfield for the downtown Denver community.
