Braswell January Programs Include ACT & More for Teens

Give your teens a good start to the New Year with educational and fun events offered at Braswell Memorial Library. January programs include an ACT Strategy Session, astronomy, and game nights.

Minecraft Design Club: January 14, 2016

Work with other teens to design and create in the world of Minecraft. The Club meets 5:30-7:30pm in the Second floor Computer Lab.

 

Coffee with the Stars: January 15, 2016

Join Braswell Memorial Library and the Cummins Planetarium for a night of star gazing and hot beverages. Coffee with the Stars meets 7pm to 9pm on the library’s back lawn.

 

ACT Strategies: January 19, 2016

Students in NC public schools can take the ACT at no cost on March 1, 2016. Many parents and students do not know about this opportunity. Join Sheba Lowe Brown from A+ Test Prep & Academic Services for a free ACT Strategy Session!  The Session meets 6:30-7:30pm in the Warner Room.

 

Teen Advisory Board (TAB): January 20, 2016

Teens meet to discuss ideas for teen programing, materials, and services. Join the Board from 5:30pm to 7pm in the Wiley Room.

 

Family Game Night: January 28, 2016

This night is for all ages, so bring the family! A variety of games (board, card, computer, etc.) will be available for play with friends or family.  Teens can also sign up for Minecraft in the Computer Lab. Refreshments will be provided. Come and stay from 5pm to 7:30pm in the Teen Area, and the Second floor Computer Lab.
