The Road to Getting Published – a Writers Workshop is coming up in Franklin County, North Carolina. Led by author Donna Campbell Smith, this three-part Workshop Series is scheduled for March 4, 11, and 18, 2017, 10am-noon each day. The workshop is designed to help writers interested in being published:
You plan to write or have written a book and now the real work begins – getting it published. Learn the difference between traditional publishing, self-publishing and vanity publishing. Learn what pitfalls to avoid, how to write an author bio and a query letter, how to write a non-fiction book proposal, how to find the right market, how long it will take and what to do with those rejection letters.
Instructor Donna Campbell Smith, many times published author, will share her experiences and resources in an informal round table setting. The workshops will be at Donna’s home studio in Franklinton NC.
Writers in all genres are welcome.
Registration is $45 per writer, and the deadline to register is February 18, 2017. To register, mail a check for the registration fee to: Donna Campbell Smith, PO Box 351, Franklinton, NC 27525.
