The Community and Business Development Department is offering three housing incentives beginning in July.
Assistance and application pick-up is available at the Frederick E. Turnage Municipal Building, 331 S Franklin Street, Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
Applications will be accepted beginning July 15, 2019.
Residents can take part in the Housing Rehab Matching Rebate Program, the Housing Repair Program, or the Urgent Repair Program.
The Housing Rehab Matching Program offers a 50/50 rebate for up to $12,500 to help homeowners with repair and rehabilitation of homes that are least 50 years old.
Residents also may take part in the Housing Repair Program’s offer of a forgivable loan of up to $12,500 for homes that are at least 50 years old.
The Urgent Repair Program offers a forgivable loan up to $12,500 to assist with the rehabilitation of deteriorated homes. This program aims to secure homes that have an imminent threat to the life or safety of homeowners.
