The Imperial Centre for the Arts and Sciences will welcome visitors through the Thanksgiving holiday by opening its doors Friday, November 29 through Sunday, December 1, 2019. Typically, the Imperial Centre is closed the day after Thanksgiving.
The Imperial Centre, located at 270 Gay Street, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, will be open
- 10am-5pm on Friday, November 29, 2019
- 10am-5pm on Saturday, November 30, 2019
- 1-5pm on Sunday, December 1, 2019
Currently, the Imperial Centre is offering the hands-on “Spin” exhibit, which showcases the study of rotation and how it affects nearly all aspects of our lives. There also are three arts exhibits on display, including Susan Fecho’s To Contemplate What Lies Behind Us and the Watercolor Society of North Carolina’s annual exhibition, which features more than 70 watercolor paintings.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the offerings on Sunday, December 1, 2019 prior to and after the 3pm Rocky Mount Christmas parade, which will run through parts of the downtown area.
