Knightdale K-Fest is coming Saturday, September 9, 2017, with activities covering a mix of education, wellness, and entertainment.
The Annual K-Fest — Knightdale Education Festival — draws together families, nonprofits, arts opportunities, and live entertainment for a day of fun and learning. The location is Knightdale Station Park, 810 N First Avenue, Knightdale, North Carolina.
K-Fest 2017 will focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (S.T.E.A.M.). Vendors will be providing interactive activities for festival participants.
S.T.E.A.M. is a “movement championed by Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and widely adopted by institutions, corporations and individuals.”

According to Robbie Worrell, Director of the town’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Programs, there are a few vendor and entertainer spots currently available. This year, the event format features separate time slots for education (1oam-2pm), health and wellness (2-5pm); and entertainment (6-9pm).
