You may not recall Vaudeville shows from decades ago, but a group of Wayne County locals is bringing comedy, singing and acting groups together to benefit United Way of Wayne County.
The first ever April Fools Follies will be happening April 1, 2016, at the Paramount Theatre. The show begins at 7pm. There will be a variety of short skits ranging from bluegrass to piano to Irish dancing with short comedic vignettes in between. Wayne Alley and the other “foolers” came up with the idea to feature Wayne County talent last year and the event has continued to develop overtime to include about 15 individual performances.
“We are excited to feature local artists with amazing abilities,” said Alley. Those providing the laughs along with Alley are Geoff Hulse, Kirk Keller, Julie Beck, Carol Bowden, and Brent Hood. Tickets are on sale now and are sold exclusively through the Paramount Theatre online at www.goldsboroparamount.com, or by calling 919.583.8432.
All tickets are $15, with net profits benefiting local United Way efforts.
The Follies location is the City of Goldsboro’s Paramount Theatre, 139 S Center Street, in Goldsboro NC.
