Join SAFE Haven for Cats for an elegant evening at their fancy-dress fundraiser. Their 13th-annual Tuxedo Cat Ball is April 7, 2017, 7pm-12:30am. Tickets are on sale for this year’s “Frolic in The Garden” at the North Ridge Country Club, 6612 Falls of Neuse Road, Raleigh, North Carolina.

The event offers a night of delicious food and drink and…cats! Enjoy a delicious dinner, music and watch — or join — the bidding on live and silent auction items to raise funds for SAFE Haven’s work. Bring your charged cell phone to take part in the Silent Auction Action.

Said Pam Miller of SAFE Haven for Cats:

“The Tuxedo Cat Ball is especially important this year, as we are committed to adopting 800-1,000 cats and kittens, rescuing cats from animal hoarders, sterilizing 1,700 needy animals in our low-cost spay/neuter clinic and providing over 11 tons of pet food to families in our community. In addition, low-cost rabies vaccinations and free trap/neuter/return services are desperately needed in the Triangle. Because of you, we can do it all.”

Tickets for the ball are $100 per ticket, or $160 for two tickets together. These tickets include dinner and two drinks per person.

The buffet-style dinner offers tasty choices planned to delight

  • Petite Pan Roasted Fillet of Salmon
  • Black Pepper-Crusted Sliced Pork Tenderloin

For fun, there will be an Ice Cream Sundae Bar for dessert.

Six types of wine will be served at the bars (first two drinks are free):

  • Red: District 3 Pinot Noir, Fly by Night Merlot, and Chateau Vieux Manoir
  • White: Seven Hills Pinot Gris, Julius Klein Gruner Veltliner Rustenberg, and District 3 Chardonnay

There are over 100 silent auction packages, ten live auction items, a jewelry salon by Raleigh Diamond, a raffle drawing for $1,000 cash, a DJ, dancing, and Poetry on Demand by Living Poetry — which means that guests can give them a word and in three minutes receive a custom poem to take home.

Or, stop and take a special photo at the event’s “cat-themed Selfie Station.”

Last but not least, the brand new 2017 SAFE Haven video will be unveiled to all of the guests.

If you love cats, come and enjoy the night out and help SAFE Haven help cats.

Says Ms. Miller:

With your help, we can save many, many more lives in 2017.

This year, SAFE Haven’s goal is to raise 1/10th of their yearly budget in this one, special night. Last year, the group raised over $100,000 with the Tuxedo Cat Ball. The event website and ticket link may be found at 2017.tuxedocatball.org.

Not attending the Tuxedo Cat Ball, but want to support SAFE Haven for Cats’ efforts? Raffle tickets are available for purchase to all supporters regardless of Ball attendance. Take a chance on winning $1,000 cash. Tickets for the raffle are $10 each, or 3-for-$25, and available now and during the Ball.
