Rocky Mount, Down East to Hold Community Public Needs Hearings

The City of Rocky Mount and the Down East HOME Consortium receive annual Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment partnership (HOME) funding, respectively, through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The city and consortium are in the process of developing a five-year Consolidated Plan, which identifies and establishes the priorities of  where available HUD funding will be expended, and an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing, which identifies fair housing issues and recommends solutions.

Community outreach to key housing and community development stakeholders and social service organizations is a key element to this process. Plan to attend one of the following hearings so we can obtain your input on housing and community development needs in the Rocky Mount Region.
