The Edgecombe County Memorial Library is hosting a “Musical Discovery Program” with support from the North Carolina Symphony’s Bassist, Erik Dyke. Demonstrations and hands-on activities take place December 20, 2016, starting at 10:30am.

This event is free, and open to everyone.

Come and learn while having fun at the Edgecombe County Memorial Library, 909 N Main Street, Tarboro NC. Activities include:

  • Reading of a children’s book
  • An interactive demonstration of the bass
  • Learn how the instruments of the orchestra make their sounds
  • Hear examples of classical and popular music composed for bass
  • Have an opportunity to try a favorite instrument in the “instrument zoo”

This Music Discovery program is sponsored by PNC’s Grow Up Great initiative, promoting literacy and arts education for preschoolers and their families.
