During the Longleaf Festival on Saturday, May 19, 2018, 10am-2pm, be sure to visit with We Plant it Forward. The group will be giving away Longleaf Pine seedlings and tree seed kits.

The ninth-annual Longleaf Festival is a celebration of the longleaf pine ecosystem, and includes free family activities and environmental education. Ride a train, see live animals, play games, make crafts, and enjoy live music. Food trucks will be on-site.

The location is Harris Lake County Park, 2112 County Park Drive, New Hill, North Carolina (Wake County). For directions to the park, click here for google map. This is a rain-or-shine event; exception is severe weather. See Park updates on Facebook.
