Versatile and passionate about people and life, she paints and creates with an array of media. Her latest passions include her “Beaded Creations” hair adornments and scarves designed from a combination of fiber and beads, and her stunning alcohol ink on tile paintings.

Marti’s unique style draws the viewer into her world of beauty and tranquility. Each piece is not only a reflection of her talent, but her rich German roots and zest for life. Her works have been shown and sold in Europe and the USA.

The Afternoon Tea with Marti King will be held in the Franklin County Arts Council’s Up-Front Gallery, 22 S Main Street, Franklinton, North Carolina.

The FCAC Afternoon Teas started five+ years ago to give the public a chance to get to know local artists, and to give the artists an opportunity to showcase, sell, and promote their art and services.

Teas are planned from March through October this year. Local artists to be featured in the Spring include Donna Campbell Smith and Dawn Lancaster (April 28, 2018). A special Afternoon Tea on May 5, 2018 for Cinco de Mayo will include an Exhibition, “Celebrating The Hispanic Culture Through the Arts”. Other dates and artists will be announced in the near future. To see Afternoon Tea with The Artist dates, visit www.fcacarts.org/afternoon_tea_with_the_artist_2018.aspx.

Anyone with questions about the upcoming tea with Marti King, or future artist-oriented events, should contact the Arts Council via email or call 919.497.6910.
