Braswell Memorial Library is holding its annual gathering of local authors to meet area readers. The “Authors in August” invites all to come and hear these accomplished writers introduce themselves and their works, learn more about NC-written books, and peruse the library’s offerings.

This special, annual event will take place in the Warner Meeting Room on Saturday, August 11, 2018, starting at 10am and continuing until 5pm.

According to Rob Lewis, Library Associate for Adult Programs:

“The goal of Authors in August is to provide an opportunity to see what local authors are writing about and use each other as sounding boards for future book ideas.  It’s also an excellent opportunity for library patrons to meet local authors and possibly explore other genres of writing.”

Published authors scheduled include:

Each will have approximately 40-45 minutes to talk about their books, upcoming projects, themselves, read from their books/poetry, or whatever they wish to share with the audience. Presentations will be followed by question-answer sessions.

Authors will also have a table available for one-on-one discussions with their fans and display their books/wares. Stop by and visit, or ask your favorites to sign your copies of their books.

Braswell Memorial Library is located at 727 N Grace Street, Rocky Mount NC.
