Each year, the Indigo Moon Film Festival (IMFF) features one design on posters, t-shirts, film guide, and other materials. For IMFF 2018, a call for design entries went out to all colleges and Universities in the area. From the entries received, one was chosen to represent the festival in print. The winner — DeeOna Denton, a Junior at Methodist University majoring in Graphic Arts — will get to see their design on artwork throughout the film festival, and received a cash prize.
The design was unveiled and the winning designer’s name announced at Frame to Table, a May 4, 2018 entertaining fundraiser that was held at SkyView on Hay, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Frame to Table provided guests with a culinary trip around the world inspired by great films.
IMFF is a celebration of independent film from around the world. Each year, the film festival brings national and international films to Historic Downtown Fayetteville NC. IMFF 208 is scheduled for the weekend of October 12-14, 2018. Tickets will go on sale this summer. During the festival, the selected design will be everywhere, including on t-shirts for sale to take home.
GroundSwell Pictures is a 501(c)(3) based in Fayetteville NC. They produce the IMFF each year, drawing thousands to view independent films — animation, dramas, documentaries, and more — screened at four venues across the city.
